We have begun to study the work of Joanna Macy, spiritual ecologist, environmental activist, Buddhist philosopher, and systems theorist. Our intention is to present a one-day event called The Work that Reconnects, developed by Joanna and her colleagues.
The Work that Reconnects offers experiences that can help shift our consciousness to living in a way that is in alignment with the lives of all beings and all the cosmos. Joanna teaches us to start from gratitude, open to our pain for the world, see with new eyes the action needed, and go forth into the world to act on our insights and newly available spiritual depth. Her workshops are transformative.
